Core End to End Testing

Core Testing in ERP Projects: Why It Matters

Completing the end of a jigsaw puzzle

Core Testing is the backbone of every successful ERP implementation. In this phase, your core project team walk through each process flow and scenario, simulating real business operations to confirm the system works as intended.

This includes verifying interfaces, document printing, user permissions, and the practical realities of using the system under typical day-to-day conditions.

Issues are identified, addressed immediately where possible, or parked for follow-up. After resolving the first set of issues, the team reruns all failed processes to confirm fixes are effective. Realistic documents, real orders, and real hardware—such as scanners or tills—should be incorporated to fully mimic live usage.

Be aware this is when project team fatigue can rear it’s head.

Core End to End Testing is critical. Without thorough coverage here, every subsequent stage becomes riskier and more expensive.

As your ERP project manager, I ensure Core Testing is systematic, efficient, well-documented, and aligned with your business workflows.
